The Marvelous Makers Studio is a delightful creative space where young artists can explore, invent, and express themselves through art. Designed for children ages 6 to 12, the club offers age-based projects that unfold over 4 weekly workshops, each workshop lasting 1.5 to 2 hours.
Workshops build on each other; introducing new skills and techniques while encouraging collaboration, creative problem-solving, and personal expression. By the end of each project cycle, students will have created a high-quality finished project they’ll be proud to share.
The Marvelous Makers Studio was created by Shelley King, a multi-disciplinary artist specializing in puppetry, collage, book arts, clowning, fibre arts, crafting and Expressive Arts. With four decades of experience performing for and teaching art to thousands of people of all ages, Shelley brings her boundless creativity, warmth, enthusiasm and expertise to every workshop—sparking joy and curiosity in each young maker she meets.
From painting and sculpture to mixed media and collaborative installations, The Marvelous Makers Studio is where imagination comes to life.

Wacky World of Puppets – Build a world as wild as your imagination!
6 Tuesdays from April 21st to May 26th Time: 3:45pm - 5:45pm 944 Northminster Rd, Peterborough For 9 - 12 year olds Fee: $240 (includes six 2 hour workshops plus all materials)
Step into the world of imagination and performance! In this workshop series, you’ll dream up a story, design and build your very own puppet characters, craft a stage with props, and learn the tricks and techniques used by the pros. By the end, you’ll have everything you need to put on a one-of-a-kind puppet show of your own!

Snip & Stick Club
Date: To Be Determined Time: 3:45pm to 5:45pm 944 Northminster Rd, Peterborough For 9 to 12 year olds Fee: To Be Determined
For 5 consecutive weeks, we’ll take our artistic exploration in an exciting new direction as we dive into the colourful world of collage!
Our final projects will include a collaged set of wall art masterpieces — ready to be proudly displayed in your room or home.
You’ll also decorate a wooden trinket box, craft decorative ornaments, design & create unique greeting cards, and make a one-of-a-kind pendant necklace, — all in your own unique artistic style.

Book Builders Club: Pages & Play

In this 5-week adventure, kids ages 9 to 12 will dive into the magical world of print-making, bookbinding, paper folding and embellishing techniques. Each week brings a new way to play with paper, textures and imagination - transforming simple materials into one-of-a-kind creations. By the end, every young artist will have their very own handmade book filled with personal flair!
